The Sire - FTCH CH Kinwashkly ML Benjamin Patrick

Wow what can I write about that has not been said before.  He is not only one of the most georgous boys I have ever met but happens to be a dynamo in the field and a hunk to hang around with.  He has the most amazing head and I often comment on his nice gluttous maxmus! Ben belongs to my good friend Tom Doherty (who has run Bliss in field trials when I was to pregnant to get around the course).  He is stunning to watch in the field, his accomplishments to date are outstanding as well!

  • #1 Derby Dog in Canada 2008
  • #1 Puppy Dog in Canada 2008
  • #1 Alberta Federation Derby Dog of the Year 2008
  • #4 Western Futurity All Age - Boise Id.
  • #1 Open Shooting Dog - German Shorthaired Club of Alberta - Spring 2010 - 4 pt major
  • #4 Amateur Shooting Dog - Brittany Spaniel Club of Canada - Spring 2010
  • #1 Open Shooting Dog - Calgary Pointing Dog Club - Spring 2010 - 5 pt major

Ben is OFA excellent.  His sire is DC Blueridge Major Adventure and Ben is his 4th DC pup to finish at 3 years of age.  His dam is non other than Ch Kinwashkly Lucky Star.  His pedigree is full of outstanding show and field dogs.

My hopes with ths breeding is that Ben stamps his structure (bone, head, topline, rear) on the pups.  With both dogs enjoying and doing well in the field (and the show ring too) I am hoping the pups wll show natural ablity in all areas of competition.

The Dam - Jayhawker's Smokin At Edana HIC FDJ

Jayhawker's Smokin At Edana HIC FDJ "Bliss" has been an amazing little girl.  In the show ring she amazes the judges with her clean, solid movement.  She may be on the smaller side of the scale but don't let that fool you.  She has placed in every Open Derby run except one.  Bliss is the first Brittany in Canada to garner a Herding Instinct Title.  Behind her there are 19 HOF Brittanys n 6 generations, many DC and a lot of spectacular names.  Hi-Scor Jac D Ruffian, Ban Dee, Renegade's Kansas Kid, Jordean All Kiddin Aside JH and Kinwashkly Smoking Hank just to name a few.

Bliss is not only a beautiful correct little girl, she is also our best friend and constant companion.  When she is not out running in the field or strutting her stuff in the show ring Bliss can be found sleeping on the couch (which she secretly thinks is hers) or listening to the kids read a book to her.  At just over 17 1/2" she is on the smaller end of the height standard.  Often I have had people call her the "pocket pup" but this little dynamo tears it up when out running (she keeps up and sometimes laps my aussies).  Judge James Noe told me when he awarded her a 3 point WB that he had saw her outside of the ring and didn't pay attention since she was so small.  But as soon as she stepped in the ring he couldn't not give her the win!

Bliss is a joy to live with, she is extremely smart and LOVES to be the center of attention.  She has travelled with others and they all have said she is very well behaved and a joy to be around. My goals with her first litter is to improve on topline, give more bone/substance to the pups, combine show flashy and field smarts to produce the overall correct, birdy, showy pup.
